What is Scentsy? 

Scentsy is an Idaho based producer of fragrances which was founded in 2004. Scentsy sells their products through multi-level marketing.  Scentsy  products are sold by over 100,000 consultants in their international network marketing system.   In 2016 Scentsy generated revenue of $456 Million, which ranked them at 42 on the 2017 DSN Global 100 list.  

Can you make money with Scentsy?

Yes! Scentsy give aspiring entrepreneurs the opportunity to launch a business without making a huge financial investment.

When you order products for customers, customers will pay the retail price. Scentsy then pays you a commission each month on your Personal Retail Volume (PRV).

PRV = Personal Retail Volume (The value of all commissionable products sold to a Consultant or to a Consultant's customer)  

Scentsy Commission is paid on your PRV and starts at 20%, but will increase to 25% once you've made 1,000 PRV points worth of sales. If you make more than 2,000 PRV points worth of sales in any month, then you will get a bonus 5%.  This means thatyou can earn up to 30% commission selling Scentsy products.

Retail sales aren't the only way to make money with Scentsy. The most successful consultants recruit others to join Scentsy as part of their downline.  The benefit to you, is that when people you have sponsored buy products, their orders will will help you qualify additional income as explained in the Scentsy Compensation Plan.

Explained in the above commission plan, in addition to your own sales you can also earn bonuses from any team members when you qualify for promotions. Scentsy's bonus stucture is amazing. 

Scentsy Consultant Levels

Scentsy has 8 ranks in total. Each rank has its own requirements and commission eligibility. To move from a lower level to a higher rank, you have to recruit more people.

The escential consultant is the lowest level and pays 20% PRV commission on 1000 PVR. This is the level you start at when you sign up.

The 1000 PVR is cumulative and it doesn’t matter how long it takes you to reach 1000 PRV points whether it takes months or years you go at your own pace and choose to get out of your Scentsy business what you put in.

From Escential consultant, you advance to a certified consultant position, which earns you 25% of PRV. You graduate to the next level once you hit 500 PRV points in sales per month.

The other upper levels are lead consultant, star, superstar, Director, Star Director and SuperStar Director.

A quick explaination of compensation plan. First, the amount you can earn from simply your own Scentsy sales is 30% commission on all of your retail sales. For all consultants that you recruit there’s a 9% wholesale commission bonus also on offer when you promote to director or above and will still also be paid up to 5% of every director under you. This goes to show, there is alot of money to be made as a Scentsy consultant if you are willing to put in the time and effort. 

In a nutshell Independent Scentsy Consultants earn between 20% and 36% commissions and bonuses on personal sales and may be eligible for leadership bonuses based on their teams’ sales. As with any business endeavor, a Consultant’s success will be a direct result of the time and effort they devote to selling the product and leading a team.
